TL;DR: To celebrate a recent milestone, Wild Turkey Distilling Co. wanted to release a unique keepsake bottle of Wild Turkey Bourbon. Boundless helped design a decanter shaped like the turkey that graces the brand’s nostalgic logo. The collectible was such a hit, a second part in the series is being considered.

Though its history can be traced to the 1850s, Wild Turkey Bourbon has been on the market in the U.S. since the 1940s. Located just outside Lawrenceburg, Kansas, the distillery owned and operated by Wild Turkey Distilling Co provides tours and information about its history to guests and bourbon enthusiasts.

In order to celebrate their master distillers’ milestone anniversary, Wild Turkey Distilling Co. wanted to create a unique keepsake they could both sell at their visitor center and ship around the globe for internal usage at events. Wild Turkey partnered with Boundless Brand Consultant, Clark Hale, to recreate a collectible ceramic whiskey decanter that looked like those previously issued in the ’70s and ’80s.

The client asked for the decanter to resemble the bird on their official branding but wanted it to be vibrant and realistic in color. After several artist renderings, custom ceramic molds were created. Each piece was then handpainted for a one-of-a-kind, limited-edition keepsake.
conclusion
The custom decanter was then nestled into custom retail packaging to complete the much-anticipated collector’s item. Boundless was able to turn a creative vision into a reality for our clients by thinking outside the box and working closely with creative supplier experts. The collectible decanters were so popular that a second part in the series is under consideration.
